About Scott

Scott J. Bocker is a founding partner at Darragh & Bocker, LLC. He is licensed
to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.


Scott a graduate of Rutgers Law School Newark (class of 1993) where he served
as the first male Editor-in-Chief of the nation’s oldest feminist legal journal, co-
founded by Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, and where
he was awarded the Myron S. Harkavy Memorial Award, granted to the law
student demonstrating the most promise as a trial attorney.


Upon graduation from law school, Scott was admitted to practice in New Jersey
and Pennsylvania, and he clerked for the Honorable Robert J. Passero, A.J.S.C.,
during the 1993-1994 term, when he was sitting in the Passaic County Family
Court.


A vast majority of Scott’s 30 year career has been dedicated to practicing all
areas of family law, including divorce, domestic violence, child custody disputes,
child support, alimony, equitable distribution, college contribution, non-dissolution
(“FD”) matters and post-judgment issues.


Scott currently chairs a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panel in Passaic County,
he has sat on Matrimonial Early Settlement Panels in Essex County, and Bergen
County. He is also a trustee of the Passaic County Bar Association, where he
serves as a Member of the Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee.
He is also a former Chair of a Fee Arbitration Committee in Passaic County.
When Scott is not in Court, he can most likely be found riding his motorcycle
through the backroads of Upstate New York.
